For more than 20 years I have been continuously working internationally as a freelance set- and costume designer, as well as for the prestigious Bregenzer Festspiele Lake Stage, where I became Head of the Art Department in 2017.

After several years as a Theatre Designer, I then specialized in opera design, my latest work being Kaiser von Atlantis in 2017 at the Wiener Kammeroper, and Così fan tutte in 2015 and Trans-Maghreb in 2014 the Bregenzer Festspiele.

As an autodidact, I made my first documentary film for Arte-TV in 2004 (Alphonse Mucha - Art Nuovo Visionary), followed by the documentary film, Porgy and Me, released in movie theatres in 2010.

In the past five years I have created several documentaries and cross media works for TV, Opera houses, Orchestras and the Internet.

For the Bregenzer Festspiele, I design the annual showroom and the opening night festivities. Teaching and lecturing has rounded out my career, and has led to a continuous working relationship with the Rose Bruford College in London/Kent, the Beuth Hochschule Berlin and the European Business University in Munich.

My education in Germany as a potter was followed by one year of theatre work at the North Carolina State Theatre(USA), after which I studied Set- and Costume Design in Rome(Italy).
